Derek’s experience includes successful entry and operations in southern Iraq, industry leading efforts to build greater collaboration between his office and the CISO organization and years directly managing Board expectations and the Executive Office. This will be an enlightening conversation.

Paul Kolbe
Paul Kolbe is a Senior Fellow and Former Director of the Intelligence Project at the Harvard Kennedy School Belfer Center. Additionally, Paul served as CIA Chief of Station with a distinguished career serving across the former Soviet Union, the Balkans, Southeast Asia, Southern Africa, and Central Europe. We’ll enjoy an engaging conversation with Paul to include the ongoing war in Ukraine, the future of NATO and other relevant GEO Political issues.

Brad Gilpin
Brad Gilpin was a founding member and Team Leader of the U.S. Border Patrol’s Special Operations Group BORSTAR unit.
He later served on a national level Special Response Team as a Senior Medic deploying on hundreds of operations and as a medical instructor and course developer at FLETC. Brad will provide ESC attendees with a practical workshop detailing what the common citizen should know and understand when arriving on the scene of a traumatic event.
This workshop will help ESC members understand basic skills and what additional trainings are available to further enhance their knowledge when encountering an unexpected traumatic event.
